Imported from Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai, the Model Y is available in two variants: the Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) priced at ₹59.89 lakh (approximately $69,770) and the Long Range RWD at ₹67.89 lakh (around $79,000). A third variant, the Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD), is priced higher, with on-road costs in Mumbai reaching up to ₹69.15 lakh. These prices, significantly higher than in markets like the US ($44,990) or China (263,500 yuan), reflect India’s steep 70% import duties on fully built vehicles, plus additional taxes and logistics costs.

The Model Y is packed with features tailored for India’s premium buyers. It boasts a range of up to 574 km on a single charge, a top speed of 201 kmph, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.6 seconds for the AWD version.
